A downloadable asset pack

You spent 3 years building your game.

Don't spend 3 weeks fighting with a website framework.

Your game needs a home. Journalists need a press kit. Steam needs a link. But you're a game dev, not a full-stack web engineer. You don't want to maintain a Next.js repo just to host five screenshots and a "Wishlist" button.

Enter PixelPress.

PixelPress is the anti-framework template. It's built on a radical premise: Websites should be simple.

Why PixelPress?

  • Zero Build Steps: No npm install. No webpack. No node_modules black hole. You can edit this site in Notepad if you have to.
  • Cinematic by Default: Dark mode, neon accents, and a layout designed to show off high-res game art. It looks expensive, but loads instantly.
  • Journalist-Ready: Includes a pre-built "Fact Sheet" and "Press Assets" section—exactly what IGN and Kotaku ask for.
  • Steam-Focused: High-conversion "Add to Wishlist" buttons are front and center.

Tech Specs

  • Stack: HTML5 + Vanilla JS.
  • Styling: Tailwind CSS (loaded via CDN for instant editing, or configurable for local builds).
  • Performance: 99/100 Lighthouse Score.
  • Mobile: Fully responsive. The sidebar transforms into a stacked card layout on phones.

What's Inside?

  • index.html (The entire site in one file).
  • assets/ (Organized folder for your key art).
  • Integrated Lightbox: Custom vanilla JS gallery for your screenshots.
  • Documentation: A 2-minute guide to swapping colors and images.

FAQ

Do I need to know React/Vue/Svelte?
Absolutely not. If you know how to edit a string in a text file, you can use PixelPress.

How do I change the colors?
I included a config script right in the header. Change #c9a962 to your game's main color, and the whole site updates instantly.

Where can I host it?
Anywhere. I recommend Cloudflare Pages (it's free and incredibly fast). It also works perfectly on GitHub Pages, Netlify, Vercel, or any shared host. It's just an HTML file.
